DISORDER, created during the first months of the corona pandemic describes the world’s perspective when it was hit with the unexpected unknown. Patterns and colours created through in-camera multi-exposure and creative processing, portray the sudden disorganisation and disconnection, and the striving to handle the unknown. Over time, with the energy and the effort that has been invested to turn the unknown into a known, a state of organised chaos had been reached. The creation of this series was inspired by the famous Tao Zhu Yin Yuan tower by architect VINCENT CALLEBAUT in Taipei

With a background in surface science, I am drawn to details, patterns, textures, forms and colours that surround us and influence our feelings. They are the basis of my inspiration and provide the frames to my works. Through the combination of various camera techniques, I transform these frames and their colours into abstracts that bring my visual imagination to life. Having lived in a variety of countries I have the strong desire to bridge the gap of cultural differences and raise awareness to the beauty of nature through my works.
