The Face of Resilience

Resilience is described as "the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties; toughness”, a trait demonstrated daily by the American wild horses in their quest to survival. The intensity coming from this Nevada wild stallion's glassy eye caught my attention. He stood still and alert locking his eyes with mine as I watched him from a distance, making sure I was no imminent threat. Location: Pine Nut Mountain Range, Nevada, USA
