White Noise explores the persistence of communication beyond the failure of the image. Between light and interference, a body encounters, in the static of a CRT television, a space of projection where memory, absence, and desire coexist. By bringing body and machine together, the work transforms noise into a language of permanence, suggesting that some signals continue to exist even when we no longer know how to hear them.
I am Claudia Missailidis, photographer and visual artist, and my focus is to develop authorial works, in particular related to visual poetics as a means of personal expression and construction of meanings. My photographic work is characterized by an intimistic visualization of the world and places of affection, bringing to life the unique emotional link between people, or between people and the places they have lived strong emotions which they carry in their memory.
