This shot was taken at Quanzhou’s Chengtiansi Temple. Centuries-old, it holds deep history in every stone. Pets are allowed here; many bring their dogs to pray. It was here that I witnessed warm golden sunlight spilling over weathered stone steps. A merle Border Collie and a Shetland Sheepdog gazed at each other from afar. One rested calmly on the stone ledge, while the other lifted a paw to look up. Soft, silent curiosity lingered in their mutual stare. Backlight softened their fluffy coats, freezing the wordless understanding shared between living creatures.
My creative practice spans photography, lighting fixture design and jewellery design. Through photography, I seek quiet moments where nature, light, and everyday life come together. Rather than documenting scenes, I aim to capture the subtle emotions that exist within them. My photographs reflect a calm and contemplative perspective, inviting viewers to pause and rediscover beauty in the ordinary.
