A guitarist emerges from the fog, headstock leading, face half-lost in smoke and hair. Shot in black and white, the grain and haze blur where he ends and the fog begins. Titled "Zerfall", German for "decay" or "disintegration", after the Graz band Ellende's album of the same name, but here it doubles as the fog itself dissolving in real time.
Self-taught since 2024, I work primarily in live documentary photography, capturing music and performance as it unfolds rather than staging it after the fact. My approach stays close to the moment: I play with colour and composition, but the priority is always being a reliable witness to something that only happens once. I came to photography as a fan first, drawn in by proximity, three feet from the stage, right in it with the crowd, and that instinct for closeness shapes everything I shoot. My work spans intimate 150-cap venues to festivals and stadium tours.
