This work is based on an analog black-and-white photograph from my archive dating back to the 1990s. Over the course of three decades, I developed the image using digital image processing and generative AI. This process gave rise to a visual universe of female archetypes from cultural history. The work interprets responsibility as the courage to recognize existing structures, question them, and enable change. The future begins where people decide to take responsibility.
Since the 1990s, I have explored the boundaries of photography. My work brings together analogue photography, digital image processing, mobile photography, and generative artificial intelligence within a continuous artistic practice. At its core is the question of what different media can reveal that previously remained hidden. Documentary photographs evolve into visionary narrative image worlds.
