During the worst drought in memory a bull elephant had spent the day chasing off the wildlife from the only source of water in the vicinity. When he wasn't outright blocking this dazzle of zebras from the cistern, he was flinging mud and spraying water at them. Driven by thirst the zebras had trekked many km to get here. Desperate and unsuccessful trying to access the water by one's or two's, only to be driven off, eventually swarmed en masse to take a place at the cache. Bored, the elephant haphazardly catapulted several more loads of mud before he pushed past their ranks and left the area.
