Captured at a pivotal moment of maturity, these two-year-old sub-adult Royal Bengal Tiger siblings engage in a mid-air struggle that marks the transition from youthful play to the testing of dominance. This gravity-defying encounter reveals the extraordinary athleticism and raw power inherent in the species. The soft light of the plains accentuates the tension in their muscles as they negotiate their hierarchy within the wild. It is a fleeting, high-stakes ballet—a testament to the fierce beauty of nature’s coming-of-age, where every game slowly transforms into a battle for the crown.
Dr Somdutt Prasad MPSA2, BPSA, EFIAP, GFIP+EFIP/gold, FAPS I have been fascinated with photography from a young age, but in the last decade, I have found more time to dedicate to my passion. I am an eye surgeon, and it is perhaps natural that my interest in the visual sciences attracts me towards photography. Although I take images in many genres of photography, my main interest is wildlife photography. We share the planet with many species, and whilst photography documents them and their behaviour, I see it as part of a wider effort to raise awareness and help conservation efforts.
