Water puppetry, a unique Vietnamese art form over 1,000 years old, transforms village ponds into vibrant stages. Performed on water, it reflects the wet rice civilization. Despite the passage of time, it retains its rustic charm and sincerity qualities that helped it earn recognition from UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage in need of preservation. This photo series, captured across Northern Vietnam, is part of a project to preserve this fading heritage through photography.
