Blue Carbon Power

  • Photographer
    Remuna Beca

Bathed in sunlight, a Southern Stingray glides over a thriving seagrass meadow in Bimini, Bahamas. These vital ecosystems absorb carbon up to 35 times faster than rainforests, store it for millennia, and provide nursery grounds for marine life. Yet, they are vanishing due to pollution, development, and climate change. We hold the power to protect and restore them—safeguarding biodiversity, reducing carbon, and ensuring a healthier future for our oceans and our planet.

Rem?una is an artist, award-winning self-taught photographer, filmmaker, and passionate advocate for conservation and animal welfare. Her underwater work aims to capture the beauty and fragility of the ocean and the incredible diversity of marine life who inhabit it.
