I have a constant fascination with liminal times and places. Referring to the street, it can describe, for example, the contemplation during a moment of pause between one experience and another – that middle moment that is somehow suspended, a latent time or place that attracts my attention and emotions because it holds all sorts of possibilities, which is the antithesis of everything being rigid
Floriana Avellino is a chameleonic photographer from Monza, Northern Italy. Being naturally allergic to labels Floriana is really inspired by any photographic genre considering each genre not so much a way of capturing reality but of interpreting and sharing a personal vision of it in a specific moment or situation. In that process the observer mixes up with their subject of observation and there she sees a chance to build a bridge towards the outer world and other human beings meeting them in what we all have got in common (inner emotions, hopes and fears).
