The bugle has told me many stories. And when it speaks of war it speaks of loss. Of the loss of loved ones and of the loneliness of those left behind. This was created with a child in mind. Of a father who never returned. Of a life that has to be redefined. Of turning away from grief. Of carrying on after an unimaginable loss.
It has taken me quite a while to consider myself a photographer. In my lifetime I have been daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, empty nester, widow, and partner.Never in those years was I a photographer. Frankly, except for family memories, I didn't have time. Some might, and have said that I am stubborn.I prefer determined. When I had time later in my life to learn new skills, I decided to be determined about photography. It has been a Life changing, challenging new skill. I have always seen stories in the world around me,now I have a way to tell them.
