As my daughter drove me home, the sky took on an enormous power that was that was breathtaking in scale and vibrancy. She had to continue to drive, but I was lucky to get a few shots as we went. In this shot, the lightpost in the lower left corner gives an indication of scale.
Served as Assistant Director in charge of Exhibits at Smithsonian's Natioal Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C., also instrumental in building IMAX theater at museum, serve as Executive Producer of Galapagos, a 3d IMAX film for the museum, serevrd on various board and/or advisor to useums. Took up photography after retiring in 2007, still very much as amateur.
