In Varanasi, where life and death meet, Sadhus embody spiritual renunciation, meditating by the Ganges and performing rituals that seek transcendence. Aghoris, in contrast, embrace the forbidden, conducting rituals at cremation grounds to find divinity in what society rejects. Together, they reflect the city’s spiritual duality — a living dialogue between purity and transgression, devotion and defiance.
