Before the usually dreary and cold season begins, nature once again sets off a real firework display of natural art. I walked through our local forest as if through a sea of ??colors. This and the 150th anniversary of Impressionism inspired me to create this series to pay tribute to this natural beauty. I interpreted the Impressionist style in my own photographic way. I used only manual settings that varied depending on the desired intensity or effect. For this series, I spent three days in the nearby forest. As Van Gogh said: If you really love nature, you will find beauty everywhere.
I am 54 years old and live in Seligenstadt, Hesse. For many years, I worked as a landscape gardener, where I was able to work creatively with nature. Due to tragic events, I can no longer pursue my profession, which gave me time to devote more intensively to photography. Initially, it was primarily while traveling and in nature that I discovered abstract and contemporary photography. With a camera, you can create beautiful, individual works of art; you just have to get involved. This doesn't happen at the push of a button, however; it happens intuitively, based on the situation.
