The project originated due to observing the entanglements between human beings and the nature they live amongst. In literature, authors often attribute to nature the moods and states that humans experience. The reverse process is also possible - from natural objects to be absorbed by their moods and states: the strength and endurance of a perennial tree, the liveliness and fluidity of a river, and the flutter and grace of a flower. Lera Zilberstein (born in 1981) is a portrait photographer. She was born in Kazan, Russia. In 2022 she moved with her family to Domžale, Slovenia, where she currently works. In her work, she addresses the themes of interaction between human and nature, self-identification, and childhood. She shoots self-portraits, moments from the life of children, their growing up.
