I'm a Hungarian amateur photographer who takes photos with my iPhone. Trieste is just 523 kilometres from Budapest, on the Adriatic coast, a charming city with a rich history, once part of the Habsburg Empire and then the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, now a very popular destination in northern Italy. Everyone is enchanted by its unique atmosphere, its ornate palaces, its showy squares, its streets, its harbour. I have put together a series of 10 black and white photos, mostly taken in the city centre and the harbour, to show some of the everyday life in Trieste.
