A self-portrait as an act of intimate self-reflection and a search for the answer to the question: “Who am I now?” as well as an artistic interpretation of that answer. The goal of this work was to gather the sum of experiences from the past three years and transform them into a portrait of myself. At every stage of the process, I "stripped away" layer by layer the rigid, eroded remnants of past experiences, anxieties, and sorrows. It felt like meditation, a way of preparing for a life free from that burden. The photographs were created using a mixed technique.
