After 1.5 years as refugees, my two young sons and I returned home to Ukraine, where a brutal war continues. We were prepared for difficult conditions, but the experience was incomparable. We're happy to be home and reunited with family, yet we must adapt to constant anxiety and unpredictability. Night bombings, studying in shelters, silent observation by some world organizations, and the danger of walking on the seashore are part of our daily lives. This surreal reality inspired me to convey the symbolism of our experiences.

Oleksandra Mykhailutsa is a product and conceptual still-life photographer from Odesa, known for her imaginative compositions featuring everyday objects. While studying to be a family doctor, she pursued photography, with a focus on still life and macro work. After gaining experience in commercial photography, she found fulfillment in conceptual still-life, often using sweets and levitation in her creative scenes. Her work has earned her accolades on platforms like Talenthouse. Oleksandra now balances personal projects, education, and family life in Odesa.
