Ship Repair Workers

At the ship repair yard along the Shodorgat River in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, hundreds of workers braved the scorching sun and performed their duties in ship repair. The low wages were not proportional to the labor effort, and the harsh environment and polluted air shortened their life span. This is also a portrayal of life in backward countries today. The struggle of blood and tears and the tragedy of life awaken our care and assistance for hunger, poverty, backwardness, environmental pollution, humanitarianism and other aspects.
