Coconut Palm Abstract

There is a magical rain forest on Bird, the most northerly island of the Seychelles archipelago. As mature coconut palms reach for the sky in a chaos of overlapping fronds, thousands of seedlings compete for the light, all fine-lined disorder, their curves catching the filtered tropical sun. I am in love with the subtle abstract shapes that are created by the light that percolates through the tropical canopy. Different times of days highlight different areas, and I return to the forest many times, knowing that here I can be truly creative with my camera.
