Sun-Dyeing Cloth

The outskirts of SOLO City in Java Island, Indonesia, is the base camp of Indonesian dyeing. When the fabric is dyed and washed, it is exposed to intense sunlight. Long and wide, colourful dyed cloths are draped on the riverbanks like protruding hills to dry in the sun. Dyeing fabrics of various colours, including red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple, bloom like a rainbow along the winding curve of the river embankment. Like a beautiful painting, it is so beautiful that people don’t know how to admire it.
