Artwork "Between Green" is my attempt to create new art reality, combining the styles and artworks of two artists, both of whom I admire. Travelling to the North of Spain, I took the minimalistic landscape photography inspired by the artwork “Rein II” by photographer Andreas Gursky. And then my imagination brought me to re-work my own photography relying on the very famous “Composition in Red, Blue and Yellow” by Piet Mondrian. So, I was experimenting with digital collage technics creating my own geometrical world between green.
Irina Cheremisina is a visual artist based in Valencia, Spain. Born in Ukraine, she was obliged to leave her native country when the war began in 2022. An economist by profession, Irina was always passionate about art, photography and handmade, but she found her professional calling in visual art only after moving to Spain. Irina works across photography and collage. She is an active participant of international photography exhibitions and photography awards. Together with other photographers her works were published in “100 Contemporary Ukrainian Photographers” book.
