Human and The City
-
Photographer
Anna Borisneva Labelle
I explored the theme of interaction between man and city. Our human world is often limited to the city in which we are born, live, work, die. Our man-made nature, our habitat.
This is a series of self-portraits. Each work reflects some aspect of our urban environment: water, transport, trees, buildings, family, people. We see reflections of ourselves in them, it creates a picture of out world.
I painted pictures on canvas. Then I combined these pictures with self-portraits (one shoot with a long exposure). Just the way the habitat created by our hands (the city) and we (human) are combined.
