Waking Dreams

  • Photographer
    Izabella Sapula

The photo is part of a larger project "Invisible" which focuses on the rights of animals. When you think about your emotional connection to animals, what animals come to your mind? Do you see a cow cuddling with its keeper or a rooster falling asleep safely in your arms? Probably not, because farm animals are "invisible" Those who spend a lot of time with animals know that they love, miss, enjoy life and fear death. The rooster Chris survived the gassing and transport in tightly packed plastic bags along with other dead chickens. He was rescued by a girl who dedicated life to saving animals

Polish photographer specializing in fine art photography. She is self-taught and engages in her passion for photography and art as a tool to explore human relationships but also relationships with herself or the surrounding nature. Her psychological education and the fact that she grew up among animals in a house on the edge of the forest are clearly visible in her photographs. The direction of her work is determined by a longing for understanding and deeper view of human and his unity with the natural world.
