On spring 2024 I lost my father to pulmonary fibrosis that had only been diagnosed a few weeks earlier. The loss really hit hard and silenced my life in a new way. And although I’m sure I’m not the only one who has lost a father suddenly I have taken to my passion in photography as a way to make sense of this deep loss and turn it into something meaningful and hopefully beautiful. It was in photographing his last X-rays and collaging elements into it through photoshop and later turning them into a cyanotype that found solace and silence and some sort of peace through all the noise.
