"Red. Circle" is a project about shape and color, body and nature. I chose the red circle as the simplest form, a metaphor for the beginning. However, my works are united not only by this symbol. The circle embodies attempts to identify myself: where do I start as a person, as an artist, as a woman.
Oksana Borovets is an Ukrainian photographer and writer, co-founder of Creative Women Publishing. She graduated from the Kyiv School of Photography (Ukraine) and Form Photo Academy (France). Participant of Ukrainian projects and international residencies. Author of art projects: IsolARTed (2020), “Inside the Ethno” (2021), “The Keys” about the loss of Ukrainians’ homes due to the Russian invasion (2022), “Red. Circle” (2024), “Prints” (2024), “140 Words About Women" (2024). Oksana's works have been published in the photobook "100 Contemporary Ukrainian Photographers" by the Form.Paris.
