Image from a series being produced in the suburbs of Brazil where low-income families adjust to survive. Due to a lack of resources, they improvise their homes with the little they have, which they get from others or find in rubbish dumps. Some borrow energy from their neighbours. They are individuals who live in a gap between this reality and the evolutions of the technological world. This is an interesting factor to observe, as they are imperatively less contaminated and value domestic life, living with what they can, building aesthetically interesting environments.

Multidisciplinar artist/photographer has lived for many years in Sweden and Brazil. Graduated in Fine Arts, Photography and Communication. Born in Brazil she emerged during the 90,’s as one of the pioneers of wearable art in Brazil fostering interpretations that brought with them innumerable discussions between the fine line that separate design, art and fashion and inspiring emerging generations. Verônica's work was also highlighted by the precious photographic documentation of her artistic works and recently her revelation as an authorial photographer.
