The ECB is the central bank of the European states that use the euro and is a symbol of European economic union. The ECB building is both complex and transparent. On the one hand, it stands on the walls of a former wholesale vegetable market, and on the other, it was the Frankfurt collection point for the deportation of Jews to concentration camps. Economics, the most terrible excesses of nationalistic thinking and futuristic visions are united in this building and remind us not to think in black and white, but to appreciate the colourful diversity of our European Union.
