The steel suspension bridge was designed by architect Pál Sávoly. The overall 27.55 metre wide bridge deck has an 18.20 metre wide carriageway with six lanes and two 4.45 metre wide footpaths. The suspension cables consist of wire ropes. In each case, 115 wires were combined to form cables with a diameter of 54.5 millimetres. 61 such ropes were combined to form a suspension cable, which is pressed together in a hexagon by large rope clamps.
