The project explores the intersection of human identity and technology. It consists of analog photographs of people’s backs taken in various locations around the world, paired with AI-generated portraits representing possible identities. Using advanced AI technology, the generated faces act as a balm for memory gaps. They help reconstruct possible images of people who are no longer remembered or who were never really seen.
