The Last Dance

  • Photographer
    Thomas De Franzoni

This place has always fascinated me, and many times I have found very interesting weather situations. I arrived very early, pitch black, a thick fog enveloped the whole lake and nearby forests. Knowing the place already, I searched the edge of the lake with the flashlight, to see if there were any pretty flowers in good condition. When the light began to lighten the scene, the thick fog began to thin out and reveal the beautiful Tre Cime di Lavaredo.

Thomas de Franzoni is a photographer known for his evolving style that captures mood, light, and atmosphere in distinct ways. Initially, his work was vibrant and full of color, often depicting lively scenes with rich, warm tones that added a sense of vibrancy and energy to his subjects. His use of color was not just a visual element but a storytelling tool that conveyed emotion and atmosphere. The black-and-white approach strips away the distractions of color, leaving the viewer to focus on the essence of the scene or subject, which is often steeped in a nostalgic or melancholic atmosphere.
