Rime is a white opaque crystal that appears in cold weather. In the cold Songhua River region of Northeast China, water mist is formed in the air due to the evaporation of water from the river surface, and the cold air causes the water particles in the mist to condense, frost and accumulate in the air, making the branches covered with a layer of white opaque small ice crystals that resemble a blanket of snow. The landscape with rime is incredibly beautiful, for the appearance of all trees are transformed into white, making the view look like the scenery in the fairy tale.
