BIFA 2024
Here and Now
Seizing the moment, which remains unique, which is always different, from one light to another.
It's a way of looking at the world around me. Walking with my eyes wide open.
A light in a street, a landscape, a movement, an atmosphere, a detail that takes on a human or simply aesthetic dimension.
Do photos, however personal, reflect the mark of an era?
Photos are everywhere, everything is photography. In my eyes, everything is photography.
I studied at a photography school, then worked freely out of passion and instinct.
Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Frank, Lee Friedlander, André Kertész, Brassaï, Elliott Erwitt, Willy Ronis, Salgado, William Eggleston, Guy Bourdin, Vivian Maier, and so many others. All have fascinated, captivated, touched, shaken, amazed and inspired me. We grow from our passions by observing those who light our flame.
I want to be able to photograph anywhere, to capture the moment.
Photography removes me from prejudices.
You have to be free with the final image.
In my eyes, everything is photography.
