The series of photographs is inspired by the artist Kazimir Malevich. The cross symbolizes human existence. The vertical line represents our divine component or connection to the spiritual realm. However, a person does not exist separately from their physical body, and the material world is depicted by the horizontal line. Somewhere at the intersection of these two concepts, a person exists. The figure of the model symbolizes our soul. It is both static and monumental, yet at the same time, naked and vulnerable.
