My photo is part of an ongoing project titled "The Necessity of the Street" and shows my love of light, color and life. My approach when I photograph people in their environment comes from the heart. There's a strong bond between me, the photographer, and my subject. It might sound strange but the human figure I encounter on the street becomes somewhat a familiar figure. In fact, although my work is candid I feel a strong connection with the people I photograph. I feel like they are my "people" and I love them, in some way. Athens, Greece

Artist's Statement: My photographic vision focuses on capturing the essence of a person, the feeling, the soul and spirit of a city, the everyday life as it evolves in urban and rural environments.
