City Moments

I've always loved wandering through city streets and exploring urban spaces, uncovering spots I wouldn't otherwise come across. It actually feels soothing; it also gets my creativity flowing. It's something wonderful about cities change, people of different cultures walking around, discovering some of the bleaker sides of a city. Being on the street, you sort of feel like you're part of the city. Walking is an easy and free way to explore your city, any city. Therefore, communities should support walking by well-connected sidewalks and paths, and help make our cities more walk-able.

Betty is a street and social documentary photographer currently based in Athens, Greece, founder/editor of CUT and DRY Blogzine, and a member of the Photographic Circle collective. She holds a Business Administration and Marketing Degree. Artist's Statement: My photographic vision focuses on capturing the essence of a person, the feeling, the soul and spirit of a city, the everyday life as it evolves in urban and rural environments. What I photograph is defined by what I believe in. I strongly believe that street photography undoubtedly effects our capacity to empathize.
