They are children like all the others, but these seem to have been predestined to a cruel and unjust fate. They were born and live in a dump with permanently polluted air where there are no toys and armies of flies are their only company. The vacant, sad look in their eyes tells us how they are no longer real children and how their world seems to have been forgotten by all of us
Human condition has always fascinated me and its study has been a main driver in my work. More than an aesthetic purpose, I intend my photography to arouse feelings, emotions, and convey messages, by telling stories that depict suffering or joy, despair or mutual help, strength or disappointment, or simply resilience in the face of adversity and uncertainty about the future.
