Ferry Through Time

  • Photographer
    Yan Yan

The Yangtze River passes through Nanjing, dividing the city into two. Although there are many bridges and tunnels now, many locals still like to take the ferry because of its convenience and low price. There is a bus every twenty minutes. Locals ride electric bicycles and spend 2 yuan to get from one side to the other. The ferry connects the ancient pier and the abandoned train station, which is like a time travel, from the modern city to half a century ago.
