Many of my photos and paintings draw inspiration from themes in psychology and philosophy, especially the philosophy of the mind. I reflect upon themes such as the mind and our impossibility of knowing other people's minds (if they even have minds)and the profound isolation that yields. Also, I like to reflect on the topic of self-image. Thus, to represent those thoughts I use myself as the individual posing for the picture, although wearing a mask and a wig, still makes the photos in the series a collection of self-portraits.
