This photograph captures a scene within one of my favourite buildings in Berlin. It's a captivating place that presents a selection of shapes and forms waiting to be uncovered and appreciated. I find immense joy in revisiting this location, often dedicating hours to the pursuit of fresh and intriguing compositions. In this picture, the building's outline has been distilled to such an extent that it assumes an abstract quality, while also resembling shapes and forms usually only found in nature.
Born in 1989 in Berlin, Germany, Ivo Berg grew up in the eastern part of the city. At the age of 19, he discovered his passion for photography and quickly became hooked. He spent years honing his skills through practical experimentation, exploring creative self-portraiture and collages. As time went on, Ivo Berg developed a strong interest in architecture and symmetry, which are now prominent aspects of his work. His photography has taken him to various corners of the world, including Chile, the USA, South-East Asia, India, and Europe.
