Broadway Tavern, a bar in Astoria, Queens, attracts pool players of all ages, races and professions. Based in this bar, several pool sharks formed an 8-ball league team and once every two weeks they travel to the other bars in the Queens area to play a match. As a member of this team, I have spent several years drinking and shooting every day, participating in practices and games. Forgetting the hustle and bustle of everyday life and devoting themselves to billiards and drinking, they shined as if they were living only for that moment in seriousness and foolishness.
