Young Girl On Vineyard Tractor

This young girl was hanging out with her grandfather while he was doing some maintenance on a vineyard tractor in the village of Paraza in Southern France. She giggled at her grandfather as I photographed him, but when he said I could photograph her, she immediately took on an air of curious confidence. I was struck by the contrast of her youth with the worn and gritty farm machinery and the grownup responsibilities the equipment represented.
