This on-going project depicts the tumultuous journey of individual trapped in a cycle of destructive love. The images portray the intensity and vulnerability of these relationships, highlighting the psychological effects of emotional addiction, emphasizing the blurred boundaries between love and obsession. It explores the overwhelming desire to possess and control another person, often resulting in a loss of self-identity. A central theme of this project is heartbreak and revenge, illustrating the destructive impulse that arises from feelings of betrayal and anguish.
Irina Jomir (b. 1983, Chi?in?u, Moldova) is a Norway-based fine art photographer whose work explores silence, transformation, and the feminine psyche through symbolic imagery. Combining staged photography with digital techniques, she constructs psychologically layered compositions rooted in ritual and archetype. Her works are held in museum collections and exhibited internationally across Europe, Asia, and the United States.
