Until recently, indigenous peoples of Amazonia have been living undisturbed lives of natural plenty. The forest and river have been their home, their food, and their medicine. Now, however, traces of globalization can be found everywhere. Wonders from outside can enter, but what must go in return? A World of opportunity is opened, but they are placed on the lowest step of the hierarchy. Included in global networks of economy, culture, crime, and climate, lives are about to be changed forever. The question is if it is for the better.
I am a young Danish photographer exploring the World through photography. I am interested in nature, culture and the intersection of the two, especially. I always try to find unseen parts, sides, or facets of our amazingly complex World, as well as the recognizable in the different.
