Since 2014, the city of Kramatorsk has been the administrative center of the Donetsk Region. It has suffered shelling almost daily since the beginning of the Russian invasion, which has become more intense due to Russian forces advancing from the east. A local NGO - named Base UA - has supported the local kids who've remained in the region through different cultural and art activities. In the photo is a group of children from the village of Yasnohirka (next to Kramatorsk), shooting paper rockets over their heads, symbolizing their real, everyday lives and childhood on the front.
