2022 saw the 60th anniversary of Marilyn Monroe's death - the planet’s greatest ever sex symbol. There were countless photographs made of Marilyn during her too short career as actress and centre of massive unrelenting attention. I aimed to re-create ‘Marilyn’ in the vintage style of the last century when she captivated audiences around the World - and Cairns girl Bonn helped me make it happen. It mirrors the work of US photographer Tom Kelley, who had the enviable task of shooting Marilyn’s infamous 1949 ‘red velvet’ set. The work became infamous in the first edition of Playboy magazine.
