The hardness of the work does not discourage this mother from keeping her daughter close to her while she sleeps. As if she were insensitive to fatigue and apparently ignoring a gesture that seems to emblematically help her, she manages to gather strength and courage to face a destiny that insists on being ungrateful to her. A beach that witnesses every day her resilience and her care and devotion to the small life she carries on her back
Human condition has always fascinated me and its study has been a main driver in my work. More than an aesthetic purpose, I intend my photography to arouse feelings, emotions, and convey messages, by telling stories that depict suffering or joy, despair or mutual help, strength or disappointment, or simply resilience in the face of adversity and uncertainty about the future.
