Tide Land

The Wadden Sea is a unique wetland. The wind, the salt and fresh water and the tide provide a unique dynamic landscape that is a food paradise for many animals. The sand flats and channels change course and seawater washes over the salt marshes. During my walks colors, smells, sounds and the visual treats excite my senses. I captured this photographically. Then I made a collage image that consists of several layers from my memories, feeling, creativity and imagination.

August Langhout (1961) from Heerenveen has developed himself as a photographer. His approach is to take the known creatively and adding sense and emotion by layers of color and texture to the image.
