In A Mood For Love

In a Mood for Love is an in-depth research project of romantic queer intimacy. Xiangyu's first intimate relationship with a man provokes the artist to explore and contemplate intimacy. The artist presents a romantic and life-like narrative through the ritualistic construction of figurative portrait and still lifes. The psychological mechanism of a relationship is dissolved in a poetic form in the details of a life made up of environment, objects and people. Through this series of photograph diaries, Xiangyu moves to a stage of self-awareness and healing.
